About us
Mantarraya Producciones, established in Mexico City in 1998, works as a platform for a new generation of filmmakers that has earned a reputation for discovering and impelling directorial talent. Founded by Jaime Romandía, and later joined by Pablo Aldrete and other strategic associates.
In 2007 Mantarraya creates a subsidiary named Cadereyta Films. That same year, the production company NoDream Cinema and Mantarraya join forces to form ND Mantarraya, for distributing its own films and other films.
Jaime Romandía
Born in Mexico City in 1969. He studied Business administration. Then in 1997 he travels to New York to study Filmmaking at the NYFA. He returns to work as associate producer in TV. In 1998 he decides to establish a production company, Mantarraya. As director he has two short films "Aura" and "Homeward Bound". He was named by Variety as one of the "10 producers to watch" in 2005.
Pablo Aldrete
Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, in 1972. He studied at The London International Film School, since then he has worked in several documentaries and short films and his first experimental feature film "Nippon e Yokoso" . He Joined Mantarraya in the year 2000 since then he has been working in several projects. He is currently in development of his next feature film "River of Gold".
